Requirements
To post jobs on Loclie:
- You must have a claimed or created business linked to your account
- Your business must have a linked listing in the businesses directory
If your business account is not linked to a listing yet, you will see a prompt to claim your business first.
Accessing Job Posting
From Business Dashboard
- Go to your Business Dashboard on the Manage portal
- Click "Jobs" in the Quick Actions
- Click "Post Job"
Creating a Job Listing
Basic Information
Job Title (required)
- Clear, descriptive title
- Example: "Barista", "Sales Assistant"
Description (required)
- What the role involves
- Day-to-day responsibilities
- Requirements and qualifications
- Benefits of working with you
Job Details
Job Type Select one:
- Full Time
- Part Time
- Casual
- Contract
- Temporary
- Permanent
- Apprenticeship
- Internship
- Volunteer
Hours per Week (optional)
- Expected hours per week (e.g., 38)
Hours Description (optional)
- Additional detail about hours (e.g., "Flexible", "Weekends only")
Categories (optional)
- Select relevant job categories from the available options
- Helps job seekers find your listing
Compensation
Minimum Pay (optional)
- Lowest end of pay range
Maximum Pay (optional)
- Highest end of pay range
Pay Period
- Per Hour
- Per Week

Location Description (optional)
- Brief description of where the role is based

- Specific street address for the role
- Uses Google Maps autocomplete to help you enter an accurate address

Advertise in Local Regional Area (optional)
- When enabled, the job is visible to users across all towns in your Local Regional Area, not just your home town
How to Apply
Application Method Choose one:
- Through Loclie (recommended) - Receive applications directly in your Business Dashboard on the Manage portal
- Email applications - Applications sent to an email address you specify
- External URL - Link to your own application page or form
Publishing
Expiry Date (optional)
- Set a date when the job automatically expires
Status
- Save as Draft - Save without publishing (can publish later)
- Publish Now - Job goes live immediately
After Posting
Your Job is Live
- Appears on the Jobs page for your town
- Linked to your business listing
- Searchable by job seekers
- If LGA-wide, visible across your entire local area
Track Applications
If you chose "Through Loclie" as the application method:
- View applications on the job detail page
- See applicant name, email, phone, and cover letter

Managing Your Jobs
From Business Dashboard
- Go to Business Dashboard on the Manage portal
- Click "Jobs"
- See all your job listings with status, type, pay, and application counts
Job Statuses
- Draft - Saved but not published
- Active - Live and accepting applications
- Closed - No longer accepting applications
- Filled - Position has been filled
Job Actions
Change Status:
- Switch between Draft, Active, Closed, and Filled at any time
Delete:
- Permanently remove the job posting
- Cannot be undone
Writing Great Job Posts
DO:
- Be specific - Clear responsibilities, honest requirements, accurate hours
- Highlight benefits - Why work with you? Team culture, growth opportunities
- Use clear language - Easy to understand, professional but friendly
- Include practical details - Location, hours, how to apply
DON'T:
- Be vague - Unclear roles, missing details, confusing requirements
- Overstate requirements - Unrealistic expectations, too many "must haves"
- Forget to update - Close filled positions, remove old listings

Yes! Posting jobs on Loclie is completely free.
How many jobs can I post?
There is a rate limit of 10 job postings per 24-hour period per business to prevent spam.
How long do jobs stay posted?
Jobs remain posted until you close, delete, or they reach their expiry date.
Can I edit a job after posting?
Yes. You can fully edit a job after posting via the Edit button on the job detail page. You can update the title, description, pay, hours, location, application method, and all other fields. You can also change the job status (draft, active, closed, filled) or delete the job.
How do I know when someone applies?
View applications on the job detail page in your Business Dashboard on the Manage portal. New applications are indicated on the dashboard with a count badge.
