Time to complete: 3 minutes
What Are Attractions?
Attractions are places you want to visit — things to see and do in a town or its surrounding area. They are distinct from amenities, which are infrastructure you need (toilets, hospitals, parking).
Loclie tracks 77,000+ attraction entries across Australia, sourced from OpenStreetMap and community contributions. Categories include parks, walking trails, lookouts, museums, beaches, memorials, public art, and more.
Attractions vs Amenities
Parks, playgrounds, gardens, walking trails, lookouts, and beaches are all attractions. Amenities cover infrastructure like toilets, hospitals, schools, parking, and caravan parks. See Exploring Amenities for more.
