Best Practices
DO:
Make it visible
- Ensure adequate size (at least 2x2 cm)
- Good contrast (dark on light background)
- Unobstructed placement
Add context
- "Scan for event details"
- "Get more info"
- Tell people what to expect
Test before printing
- Scan your own code
- Verify it works
- Check destination is correct
Create multiple codes
- Generate separate codes for different placements (e.g., one for posters, one for flyers)
- Compare scan counts to identify best placements
DON'T:
Make it too small
- Hard to scan
- Frustrates users
- May not work
Distort the code
- Keep it square
- Don't stretch
- Maintain aspect ratio
Use low contrast
- Light on light doesn't work
- Dark on dark fails
- Ensure readability
